iter (I-t<<schwa>>r orit-<<schwa>>r), n. [Latin] 1.Roman law. A rural servitude that allowed the holder to walk or ride on horseback (but not drive a draft animal) through another’s land. — Also termed servitus itineris (s<< schwa>>r-vi-t<<schwa>>s I-tin-<<schwa>>r-is). Cf.
