FORTUITOUS EVENT

fortuitous event. 1. A happening that, because it occurs only by chance or accident, the parties

could not reasonably have foreseen. 2. An event that, so far as contracting parties are aware,

depends on chance. 3.Louisiana law. An event that could not have been reasonably foreseen at the
