fixture filing.The act or an instance of recording, in public real-estate records, a security
interest in personal property that is intended to become a fixture. See UCC § 9-102(a)(40). • The
creditor files a financing statement in the real-property records of the county where a mortgage on
the real estate would be filed. A fixture-filing financing statement must contain a description of the
