devastavit (dev-<<schwa>>-stay-vit), n.[Latin “he (or she) has wasted”] A personal
representative’s failure to administer a decedent’s estate promptly and properly, esp. by spending
extravagantly or misapplying assets. • A personal representative who commits waste in this way
