chirographum (kI-rog-r<<schwa>>-f<<schwa>>m). [Latin fr. Greek] Roman law. A handwritten document, usu. an undertaking or acknowledgment of debt written in the debtor’s own hand. Cf. TYPOGRAPHUM.
