Amalphitan   Code   (<<schwa>>-mal-f<<schwa>>-t<<schwa>>n).Hist.   A   compilation   of

maritime  law  made  late  in  the  11th  century  at  the  port  of  Amalfi  near  Naples. • The Code  was

regarded as a primary source of maritime law throughout the Mediterranean to the end of the 16th
